WESTON IS TWO

WESTON IS TWO

I’ve known Stefanie for quite a few years since our days working together at Saint Luke’s Hospital.  She is a dear friend and I remember how excited I was for the opportunity to photograph the birth of Weston 2 years ago. I am not a birth photographer but was willing to do it if it worked out she would deliver on a day I was off. Andy (Stefanie’s husband) called me to let me know she was moving along and that if I get to the hospital around 8 am we should be good. Knowing it could be hours and hours of waiting, I packed a lot of reading material and snacks for the day and headed out the door. I pulled up to the hospital a little before 8 and tried to call with no answer and I ‘just’ had a feeling.  My feeling was right…. Weston had already been born.  I was the first person to arrive so at least I got to photograph the first moments of them becoming a family of 3 as well as family meeting him for the first time. It was an incredibly emotional moment and one I’ll never forget. If the hours weren’t so unpredictable and demanding, this is a genre that feeds my soul.

Fast forward a few years and Weston just turned TWO! Oh my goodness, he is so adorable!!!

Here is our session on a gorgeous summer day.  Their dog, Brew is one of my favorite dogs to photograph. He is a gentle giant who minds so well!!  Enjoy some of my favorites!

Get to know me!

I have always been more interested in capturing everyday moments and genuine emotions of people and this is reflected in how I photograph my clients. I will always prefer laughter instead of a cheesy smile. I will always prefer to leave the disney band-aid on the scabbed knee instead of photoshopping it out. I will always prefer the image of you gazing at your dog as he wags his tail and kisses your face despite how 'fat' you feel. Time goes REALLY fast so choose to live in the moment and I would love to capture it for you!
