SIMS | PAOLA HIGH SCHOOL SENIORS

I get a little giddy when I get to shoot seniors for my alma mater.  This one in particular was sentimental because I graduated with the mom of these two boys!  Jeanne was my first friend upon moving to Kansas.  Our graduating class was small and we were neighbors for a while so we knew each other quite well!  Even though I got about 100 mosquito bites on this session it was worth it to be back shooting on Jeanne’s parents farm in Paola.  The light was gorgeous and it was just so much fun being back on familiar territory!  I even got Jeanne’s parents to pose for a few adorable pictures at the end.

I just love how the pictures turned out for Blake and Clayton and hope you do too!  Enjoy!

Get to know me!

I have always been more interested in capturing everyday moments and genuine emotions of people and this is reflected in how I photograph my clients. I will always prefer laughter instead of a cheesy smile. I will always prefer to leave the disney band-aid on the scabbed knee instead of photoshopping it out. I will always prefer the image of you gazing at your dog as he wags his tail and kisses your face despite how 'fat' you feel. Time goes REALLY fast so choose to live in the moment and I would love to capture it for you!
