LORIE + STEVE SPRING ENGAGEMENT SESSION
Well, we couldn’t have asked for better weather for this early Spring engagement session at the Nelson Atkins Museum of Art! Everything was blooming and it was simply a gorgeous canvas for this adorable couples session!
Lorie and I worked together many years ago and reconnected a few years ago. I was so delighted she asked me to photograph their September wedding at the Elms Hotel.
Lorie and Steve went to high school together but it wasn’t until a few years ago their love blossomed. They got engaged on Christmas Day of 2016. Steve took her to the plaza to see the light and when they pulled up to park it was raining. He was so excited so he gave her a ‘pre-gift’ which was an Irish love spoon he has bought from the Irish Festival last summer. She was a bit confused until he pulled the ring from his pocket and proposed. Right after the proposal it stopped raining and they were able to walk around and enjoy the Plaza lights.
This couple loves adventure and I’m so happy you found love with each other and I can’t WAIT to document your special day in September!
