I’ve mentioned before that Jared & Melissa were my VERY first clients ever! I worked with Jared at Saint Luke’s Hospital before he went off to become a Doctor! Then, I became friends with Melissa because she was my dental hygienist (the BEST!). I remember asking Jared if he and his wife would like a session when I was practicing and building a portfolio. I was SO proud of how that session turned out! I look back and openly ask them why they came back?! The pictures were horrible and I had no idea what I was doing! 🙂 Fortunately, I have improved over the years and the Elliott’s have added +1 too!
One of the benefits of being a photographer is watching families grow. I photographed Reese as a baby and now look at this young lady! It is so special getting to create memories for families. When I walk into someone’s home and see my work on the walls it is such a feeling of purpose. I am a very sentimental person and really believe that photographs are so important to have in our lives. They are a moment in time captured that you can’t get back. We look back and can’t believe how much we have changed and then the images get passed down to our families. I absolutely adore looking at pictures of my mom’s family while she was growing up. I have several of them up on the wall in my home.
