After my furry soulmate, Mr. Piggy passed away my family and I wanted to find a way to keep him close to my heart. I searched and searched until I stumbled across a company on etsy called “Close by me.” This jewelry shop uses cremated ashes from your loved one and creates a beautiful masterpiece set in sterling silver. There are many shops that create memorial jewelry but what drew me to Gina’s shop was the simplicity of the design. The design is classic, tasteful and I’m able to wear it on a daily basis. I love that each piece is unique.
Gina Murphy is the shop owner. She was so professional, personable, respectful and incredibly sensitive to my situation. In this time driven world she read my blog post about Mr. Piggy (https://kayenessphotography.com/my-furry-soulmate/) and truly cares about the story behind each piece of jewelry she makes. I’m thankful Gina is able to use her gift to help ease the pain and suffering for others.
Gina’s attention to detail carries over into her delivery. My necklace arrived in a beautiful bow wrapped box and personal note from Gina. I opened it up and began to cry..it’s such a beautiful piece of art made from my beautiful sweet boy. It’s incredibly hard to accept the finality of never seeing Mr. Piggy again but whenever I find myself needing strength he is still ‘close by me.’
Here is my beautiful necklace I will treasure forever!! I chose to add a paw charm to mine. Now I want the ring too!
