A DAY IN THE LIFE OF THE POLITE FAMILY

I adore this family and was ecstatic whenever I found out Laura was interested in having me come to their home for a day in the life session.  These sessions are perfect for parents who have young children who don’t like to pose in front of the camera or you just want to capture the...

SIMS | PAOLA HIGH SCHOOL SENIORS

I get a little giddy when I get to shoot seniors for my alma mater.  This one in particular was sentimental because I graduated with the mom of these two boys!  Jeanne was my first friend upon moving to Kansas.  Our graduating class was small and we were neighbors for a while so we knew...

HANNAH | McLOUTH HIGH SCHOOL SENIOR

Hannah | McLouth High School Senior High school seniors are one of my favorite genres to shoot.  Senior girls are usually excited to be there and really get into the experience of feeling glamorous and having fun! Hannah is such a warm and fun girl and I really wanted to showcase that for our session...

LAWSON FAMILY

Kelle is a photographer colleague and I love that her kids are very used to the camera!  I headed to the West Bottoms with the Lawson family for their annual pictures and I just love how they turned out.  The two boys are so adorable and it’s always fun to capture some personality. Here are...

Smith Family

It was a dreary day for the Smith family photo session.  We kept going back and forth whether we should reschedule but they were troopers and stuck it out!  You can’t even tell the wind was blowing about 25 mph!  Stefanie, Andy and their lap dog, Brew, made such beautiful subject for their session in...

Get to know me!

I have always been more interested in capturing everyday moments and genuine emotions of people and this is reflected in how I photograph my clients. I will always prefer laughter instead of a cheesy smile. I will always prefer to leave the disney band-aid on the scabbed knee instead of photoshopping it out. I will always prefer the image of you gazing at your dog as he wags his tail and kisses your face despite how 'fat' you feel. Time goes REALLY fast so choose to live in the moment and I would love to capture it for you!
